About Our Event
Spanning the two major North Carolina cities of Durham and Raleigh,
the statewide annual NC PrideFest Celebration is the largest gay, lesbian,
bisexual, and transgendered event in North Carolina and one of the
largest in the surrounding states of South Carolina, Virginia, West
Virginia and Tennessee. Attendance is over 8500 marchers and
participants with hundreds more spectators. The 3-day festival will
take place on Duke University's East Campus and will include a parade,
day festival, night festival, conferences, staged events and dances.
Forty one percent of those attending are from the Triangle Area.
The other fifty nine percent come from the other cities of North
Carolina, and the adjoining states of South Carolina, Virginia,
Tennessee, Georgia, West Virginia and Maryland.
About the Pride Committee of NC
We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit tax exempt corporation. We sponsor LGBT
public events throughout the year culminating with the 3-day NC Pride
festival and parade.
The Benefits of Sponsorship
According to the National Strub Media Group survey of income and
loyalty, the LGBT consumer is extremely brand loyal and has above average
income. Given products of comparable quality, 87% of LGBT consumers
indicated they would buy products and services marketed to the LGBT
community. We reach approximately 220,000 identified LGBT consumers
in the South with our email and Internet presence. Our email listserv
will reach approximately 60,000 addresses in NC alone. We also receive
local and regional news, print and television coverage. As a sponsor,
you have an opportunity to share this coverage and also capture this niche
market. Sponsorship can be in the form of cash, services, or a combination
of both.
